Medicare B Premium 80% Reimbursement for IBM Retirees

If you retired before Dec. 31, 1996, you are eligible to apply for 80% reimbursement of your Medicare B premium – that’s $900 per family per year. All claims must be post marked by December 31 of the following year. This means if you have not made a claim for 2008, you need to do so by 12/31/2009.

Contact IBM at 1-800-796-9876 to request the form for reimbursement.

    Need contact phone number

    • I also would like a contact phone number for at least a tool to be able to contact other people that post on this site may have similar problems/concerns.
RE: ibm/EH……… which seems to be a shadow of “OCare”. Limiting the competection to the “chosen ones”.

This Medicare Part B reimbursement is also available for IBM’ers or spouse who have Part B due to disability who are not yet age 65. We learned this from someone at Net Benefits (NB) when they were trying to fix some misinformation we had been given.

You can file quarterly and get 80% of the basic premium back until the total for the person or couple reaches $900 for the year. My advice, try to fax in your form and get direct deposit. Then put it on your calendar to file each quarter.

You can get the form from the Net Benefits site. On another posting related to this, I listed info on Acclaris the company that does the processing that might be of interest.

  8. Thank you for another magnificent post. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such an ideal approach of writing?
I’ve a presentation next week, and I’m at the look for such info.
